Our story

Dogs kept winning. So I let them.

A corporate career, one black Staffy, and a question that wouldn't go away: what would I want for Kobe?

Hi, I'm Jessica

I'm a Perth girl, a dog mum, and a dog person through and through. Kind, caring and completely smitten with every pup I meet. There's no version of my day that isn't better with a dog in it.

I spent years in the corporate world doing all the things you're supposed to do. Somewhere along the way I realised what matters most to me is purpose and happiness, and for me, that has always been dogs. So I followed it, and Salty Pups was born.

Kobe is my black Staffy and my whole heart. He taught me what it means to love a dog so deeply it changes the direction of your life. Every dog in my care gets the love I give him. That's the standard, and it never drops.

I'm also Dog First Aid trained, because loving your dog means keeping them safe. Their wellbeing comes before everything else, on every single adventure.

Inspiration, mascot & quality control.

The reason Salty Pups exists. Kobe sets the standard for every walk, every visit and every wag. If he approves, you're in good paws.

Every Salty Pups decision passes through one final review: would this be good enough for Kobe? He has yet to be wrong.

How we work, every dog, every time

  • Before we ever clip a lead on your dog, we come to your home for a meet and greet. Their triggers, walking style, whether they're treat motivated, what you'd like us to work on. It's as much about making sure we're the right fit for each other as anything else.
  • Every new dog starts on solo walks. Group adventures are capped at five, and we take that seriously. If we don't believe a dog is right for a group, we won't put them in one.
  • After every walk you get a pup-update. A photo or video and a note on how they went. If something concerns us mid-walk, we contact you right away.
  • The booking is never more important than the dog. Safety and wellbeing come first for every dog in our care, without exception.
"At the end of every walk, every visit, every adventure, I want you and your dog to feel like you've received nothing less than the very best."
